Whenever we go to the islands, my husband ALWAYS wants to be on boat in some capacity!!  So when we were researching things to do in St. Kitts, Blue Water Safaris day sail immediately popped up.  After reading the reviews on TripAdvisor, we decided to give it a go and make a reservation.

We were picked up by the company at the Marriott, which made it very easy and convenient to get over to the dock.  Once you get checked in – drop your shoes into their buckets and board!

The full day sail takes you around St. Kitts, stops at a cove to go snorkeling for about 45 minutes to an hour and then serves a barbeque lunch afterwards.  From there you begin your journey over to St Kitts’ sister island, Nevis.

We were on Nevis for around 3 hours or so – which is plenty of time to explore!  They offered a tour of the island – which we didn’t partake in,  as we knew exactly what we wanted to do!  One of the things Nevis is known for is Sunshine’s – if you enjoy cocktails, you must try the famous killer bee.  Be warned though- you will not need much 🙂

We also decided to take a little walk on the beach and venture over to the Four Seasons for a drink and light snack at their beach bar, just to check out the property.  If you’re looking for something else to do during your time on Nevis, I would recommend it.

Once it was time to get back on the boat, the party had really gotten started!  The music was going and the drinks were flowing!  Everyone was having a great time dancing and enjoying the beautiful views!  It’s worth pointing out that If you do not enjoy this type of atmosphere, this may not be the sail for you.  During our trip there actually were a couple families with younger kids – the crew got them up dancing, it was really cute!I

We can’t say enough how much we enjoyed our excursion!  It was one of the highlights of our trip – we had a blast!
